Onam 2026 Special Trains Connect Bengaluru And Kerala
Southern Railway is adding special trains for people traveling during Onam in 2026.
The trains will connect Bengaluru with Thiruvananthapuram North in Kerala.
One train pair will run on August 22 and 23.
A second pair will run on August 28 and 29.
The trains will stop at many important stations along the route.
These include Salem, Erode, Aluva, Kottayam and Kollam.
Each train pair will make one trip in each direction.
Passengers can begin booking tickets at 8 am on August 21, 2026.
Southern Railway announced four special services between Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram North for the Onam travel rush.
Train 06575 will depart SMVT Bengaluru on August 22, with its return service leaving Thiruvananthapuram North on August 23.
Train 06579 will depart Bengaluru Cantonment on August 28, while Train 06580 returns on August 29.
The services will stop at stations including Salem, Erode, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam and Varkala.
Reservations will open at 8 am on August 21, 2026, and passengers were advised to check NTES or IRCTC.

- Each service has one AC Two Tier coach, three AC Three Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
