Pune Ganpati Idols Immersed Amid Grand Festival Processions

Pune’s Ganesh festival came to an end on Friday.

As part of the ending, Ganpati idols were taken in processions.

People celebrated with drums and chants.

Five important Ganpati mandals are known as the ‘manache’ mandals.

Their idols were immersed by 6 p.m.

The Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai Ganpati idol was immersed later, at about 8:30 p.m.

Immersion marks the conclusion of the festival celebrations.

Many people joined the farewell celebrations in Pune.
