Odisha’s 2026 Electoral Roll Revision Enters Final Phase
Odisha is checking and updating its voter list.
The deadline for people to make claims or objections has now ended.
Officials will finish deciding these requests by September 17.
The updated voter list will be published on September 21.
More than 3.09 crore voters have been considered eligible so far.
Some people received notices asking them to provide certificates or correct information.
Voters who do not provide valid information may be removed from the list.
Many young people applied to register as new voters, while others requested corrections or removal of duplicate and deceased voters’ names.
The deadline for filing claims and objections in Odisha’s electoral-roll revision ended on Wednesday.
Officials will decide all claims and objections by September 17 and publish the final voter list on September 21.
Notices were issued to 58,36,430 voters, with 58,36,374 notices successfully delivered by August 19.
A total of 3,09,71,941 eligible voters have so far been considered for inclusion in the final list.
Applications included 2,79,315 new registrations, 53,625 Form-7 requests, and 1,97,952 Form-8 requests.
