Bharatiya Kisan Sangh launches relief campaign for Assam flood victims
Floods are when too much water covers the land.
Right now, big floods are happening in Assam, a state in India.
The water has affected 1,60,000 people across 14 districts.
Sadly, 95 people have lost their lives because of the floods.
Many families have lost their homes, farms, and animals.
A group called Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, which means 'Indian Farmers' Association', has started a big helping mission.
They plan to help about 5,000 families get back on their feet.
They are giving farmers rice seeds to plant and food for their animals.
They are also giving school uniforms to more than 5,000 children so they can keep learning.
Volunteers are fixing damaged houses and setting up health camps to keep people safe and healthy.
RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) launched a relief and rehabilitation campaign in Assam's Sivasagar and Charaideo districts to help about 5,000 affected families.
Assam's flood death toll has risen to 95, with 14 districts and 1.6 lakh people affected, officials said on Thursday.
Sivasagar is the worst-hit district with 50 deaths, while neighbouring Charaideo has recorded 21 fatalities.
BKS workers arranged paddy seedlings for transplantation in about 500 bighas of land and are sending fodder for affected livestock.
BKS will provide school uniforms to over 5,000 students, and three affiliated farmer producer companies donated Rs 3 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
