BRO's Project Brahmank Sends Relief to Assam's Flood-Affected Families
There was a very big flood in a place called Assam in India.
Water covered lots of land, and many people lost their homes and belongings.
A group called the Border Roads Organisation, which usually builds roads, decided to help.
They made a special team called Project Brahmank.
The team collected money and things people need, like food, clothes, shoes, and blankets.
They packed everything in a town called Pasighat.
Then they sent the boxes to a city called Dibrugarh.
There, another kind group called the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh gave the supplies to families who needed them.
About 155,000 people were affected by the flood, and sadly 98 people lost their lives.
The aid shows how people work together to help others in difficult times.
The Border Roads Organisation's Project Brahmank provided relief materials to flood-affected families in Assam.
The consignment was assembled at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh and dispatched to Dibrugarh, Assam, on August 4.
A team led by chief engineer Pankaj Goyal pooled funds and supplies including food items, clothes, footwear and blankets.
The materials were handed over to the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh for distribution among affected families.
Around 1.55 lakh people remain affected across 13 districts, with 98 deaths reported in this year's Assam deluge.
