Assam CM Promises Long‑Term Reconstruction After Floods
Relief Won't Be Enough, Worst-Hit Assam Villages To Be Rebuilt: Himanta Sarma · NDTV

Assam’s chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited villages that were badly damaged by floods.

He said the government will not only give money right away but also rebuild whole villages.

Families got a first payment of Rs 15,000 and the worst‑hit families will get an extra Rs 10,000.

The state also gave more than Rs 160 crore to help people get electricity and other services.

The government will keep working until life goes back to normal.
