BMC Plans ₹10.25 Crore Vehicle Contracts for Footpath Drive
Mumbai’s civic body wants to make footpaths easier and safer for people to use.
It is removing stalls, structures, stored items, signs and other things blocking the paths.
The campaign is called Pedestrian First.
To do this work, the BMC needs vehicles to carry away removed materials.
It plans to hire vehicles for the city and suburbs for one year.

The BMC wants to clear 200 footpaths, and work has started at 134 of them.
