BMC Clears Worli-Prabhadevi Footpaths of Encroachments in Pedestrian Drive
BMC Removes 14 Unauthorised Structures, 77 Hawker Obstructions And Nine Food Trucks From Worli-Prabhadevi Footpaths · freepressjournal.in

In Mumbai, a city government called the BMC takes care of the roads and footpaths.

Footpaths are the walking paths next to roads.

Some people had put shops, food trucks, and other things on the footpaths.

This made it hard for people to walk safely.

The BMC decided to clean up these footpaths.

They removed 14 big structures, 77 shop blocks, and 9 food trucks.

They also took away water tanks and flower beds that were in the way.

The BMC wants people to walk safely without going onto the busy road.

This is part of a plan called 'Pedestrian First'.
