BMC Clears Worli-Prabhadevi Footpaths of Encroachments in Pedestrian Drive

The BMC decided to clean up these footpaths.
They removed 14 big structures, 77 shop blocks, and 9 food trucks.
They also took away water tanks and flower beds that were in the way.
The BMC wants people to walk safely without going onto the busy road.
This is part of a plan called 'Pedestrian First'.
BMC's G/South ward removed 14 unauthorised structures, 77 hawker obstructions, and nine food trucks from Worli-Prabhadevi footpaths.
The drive is part of the civic body's 'Pedestrian First' campaign to restore pedestrian movement.
The action followed Municipal Commissioner's guidelines issued on August 6.
Enforcement covered Dainik Shivner Marg, Fitwala Marg, and Balasheth Madurkar Marg.
Officials also removed flower-bed platforms, raised structures, and unauthorised water tanks.
