TTD to Conduct Five-Day Yaga Seeking Rainfall and Prosperity
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams plans to hold special Hindu ceremonies in Tirumala.
The ceremonies will last for five days, from August 30 to September 3.
They are being held to pray for plentiful and timely rain.
The organizers also seek prosperity and well-being for people around the world.
Thirty-two scholars will take part.
The opening events will include prayers for Lord Ganesha and purification rituals.
The main ceremonies will happen each morning from August 31 to September 3.
Other prayers and readings will be held in the evenings.
The programme will end with a final offering called Poornahuthi.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will conduct a five-day Carireshti Yaga from August 30 to September 3.
Varuna Yaga and Parjanya Shanti Homam will be held alongside the main ritual.
The ceremonies will take place at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham in Tirumala.
Thirty-two Vedic, Shrauta and Smartha scholars will participate under Kuppa Siva Subrahmanya Avadhani’s supervision.
The programme includes Vedic recitations, mantra observances and a Poornahuthi concluding ceremony on September 3.
