Uttarakhand CM Flags Off 15 Waste Management Vehicles in Khatima
Uttarakhand has started using more vehicles to collect and manage waste.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched 15 vehicles in Khatima.
Seven of them are electric vehicles supplied by Nestle India.
Each electric vehicle will serve one of seven identified areas.
The areas include Dharampur, Chhatarpur, Bindukhera, Kiratpur, Bagwala, Danpur and Nagla Tarai.
The vehicles are meant to improve the collection and disposal of solid and liquid waste.
Udham Singh Nagar has made a plan covering all 373 gram panchayats through 71 clusters.
Britannia also provided health and nutrition materials at the programme.

Udham Singh Nagar has prepared a waste-management plan covering 373 gram panchayats through 71 clusters.
The district’s waste-management fleet includes 231 vehicles, including 134 e-rickshaws and 75 tractor-trolleys.
