AP Cabinet approves business bills, water priority amid rain deficit

The government of Andhra Pradesh, a state in India, had a big meeting called a Cabinet meeting.

In the meeting, leaders approved new rules to make it easier for businesses to work in the state.

They also decided to stop two old laws and write better new ones.

The Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, said the state did not get enough rain this year.

Because there is 48% less rain than usual, he said drinking water for people comes first.

After that, water should go to animals, and only then to farms.

The government also made new rules to keep people safe when they walk on roads.

It will build houses for 177 poor families in a part of Visakhapatnam city.

Farmers who grow fish and prawns will keep getting cheaper electricity.

The leaders will meet again for the assembly sessions on August 17-20.
