Officials in Gurugram raided a house suspected of storing and selling restricted medicines.

The raid happened on September 12 in the Kabir Nagar area of Sohna.

They said they found 49 bottles of codeine-laced syrup and 520 Alprazolam tablets.

The medicines were thrown from the roof onto land behind the house.

The accused, identified as Amir, allegedly ran away but was later arrested.

A case was filed under the NDPS Act.

Officials also said these medicines should only be sold when a registered doctor writes a prescription.

This is meant to prevent people from getting and misusing restricted medicines illegally.
