Gujarat Prohibits Rs 83 Lakh Codeine Medicine Stock

Officials prohibited 37,762 bottles of Rexton-T Syrup worth Rs 83,07,640 at Balaji Pharma.
Seven firms received show-cause notices, while Health Point Pharma’s drug sale licence was cancelled.
Officials also prohibited 57 codeine-containing R Tuss TD Syrup bottles worth Rs 9,006 at Jai Ambe Distributors.
The department said inspections and scrutiny of purchase, sale and stock records would continue across Gujarat.
