Parkash Singh Badal’s Cousin Joins BJP Alongside Punjab Leaders

Major Bhupinder Singh Dhillon joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP.

He is a cousin of former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.

The joining took place in Chandigarh on September 14.

Dhillon previously served in the Indian Army.

He took part in the 1971 India-Pakistan War and served until 1988.

His son Amarveer Singh also joined the BJP.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Pradeep Joshan joined as well, along with supporters.

The BJP said the new members would strengthen its work in Punjab.
