Gujarat Police Seize 387 Codeine Cough Syrup Bottles in Ahmedabad
Police in Ahmedabad arrested a 32-year-old man after finding 387 bottles of cough syrup.
The syrup contained codeine and another medicine called Triprolidine Hydrochloride.
Police said the man was allegedly carrying the bottles to sell them illegally.
The seizure happened in the Vasna area on August 22.
Officers also took an auto-rickshaw and a mobile phone.
The syrup was valued at about Rs 1.01 lakh.
All the seized items together were valued at about Rs 1.51 lakh.
Police started a case under India’s drug law.
The investigation is still continuing.

Police also seized one mobile phone and the auto-rickshaw, officials said.
A case was registered under Sections 8(c) and 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and the investigation continues.
