A strong monsoon weather system is moving across Madhya Pradesh.

The weather department says several districts could receive very heavy rain.

Narmadapuram and Chhindwara have been given the highest-level red alert.

Six other districts have received an orange alert.

More rain is expected during Krishna Janmashtami on September 4.

The system may reach northern areas on September 5 and the Gwalior-Chambal region on September 6.

In Dabra, heavy rain caused a house roof to collapse.

Two people died and three others were badly hurt.

Schools in Chhatarpur were closed because rivers may overflow and flooding is possible.
