Bhopal GRP Recovers ₹62.26 Lakh in Train Theft Crackdown
Police carried out a special operation to stop thefts on trains and at railway stations.
The operation took place during August in areas covered by the Bhopal GRP.
Officers watched people suspected of repeatedly stealing and checked trains where thefts happened often.
Ten trains received special attention.
Police traced 177 stolen or lost mobile phones.
They also recovered property worth ₹62.26 lakh in total.
In Gwalior, officers broke up a theft gang and recovered phones, a motorcycle and other property.
Police units in Itarsi and Bina recovered jewellery, cash and other stolen items.
