Madhya Pradesh Heavy Rain Alert; 43 Districts See Below-Normal Rainfall
Madhya Pradesh August 15, 2026, Weather Update: Heavy Rain Alert In Several Districts For 3 Days; 43 Districts Still Below Normal Rainfall · freepressjournal.in

The weather office in India has told people in Madhya Pradesh to get ready for a lot of rain.

A big storm that began over the Bay of Bengal has gotten stronger and is moving toward the state.

On Saturday, 21 districts could see very heavy rain, and some places might get 4 to 8 inches in one day.

A few places, like Narmadapuram, Chhatarpur and Umaria, could get extremely heavy rain.

The rain is expected to last for about four days, so people should be careful.

This year, many parts of Madhya Pradesh have not received enough rain.

Only 12 districts have gotten more rain than normal, while 43 districts have gotten less.

Some eastern districts are missing up to 54% of the rain they usually get.

The new storm might help fill the gap, but it could also cause problems if it rains too hard.
