The kitchens are planned to open across the state on December 9.

Officials have been told to finish building them by November 30.

The kitchens will provide nutritious food to help children attend school regularly.

They will be monitored from an operations centre in Hyderabad.

Students may also be taken to visit the kitchens.

Two companies donated money to build kitchens in Nagarkurnool and Vikarabad.

The chief minister wants menus to match local food habits and wants officials to track students’ health and learning.
