A big temple in Vijayawada, India is getting ready for special celebrations.

It is called Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam and sits on a hill named Indrakeeladri.

The temple's Executive Officer, VK Seena Naik, held a meeting on Monday with priests and department officials.

They planned for the end of a festival called Ashada Sare, which happens on August 12.

On that day, the saree offering will start at Jammidoddi at 8:30 in the morning.

The next holy month, Sravana Masam, begins on August 13, and officials want devotees to have a smooth visit.

Plans include special prayers like Kumkumarchana and Varalakshmi Vratham, plus a free mass Varalakshmi Vratham.

The temple also checked drinking water, food, and queue arrangements for visitors.

On Independence Day, August 15, the national flag will be raised at the main Rajagopuram tower.
