Mumbai Metro One To Introduce Ghatkopar-Andheri Short-Loop Trains From Today To Improve Travel During Peak Hours · freepressjournal.in

Mumbai has a special train called a metro that many people use to get around the city.

The first and busiest metro line in Mumbai is called Metro 1, and it carries about 500,000 people every workday.

In the evening, it gets extremely crowded when people travel home from work.

Starting on August 10, some metro trains will only travel a short part of the route, between Andheri and Ghatkopar, which is the busiest section.

These shorter trains will make trips during evening rush hour, from 6:23pm to 8:23pm.

Because more trains will run, people will not have to wait as long.

The wait time between trains will drop from about 3.2 minutes to 3 minutes.

The metro will be able to carry about 20% more people, which means about 28,000 extra passengers can ride.

This change is meant to make the evening commute easier and less crowded for everyone.
