Western Railway Revises Mumbai Local Train Timetable From September 1
Western Railway is changing the timings of Mumbai local trains.
The new timetable will begin on September 1, 2026.
The railway says it wants to make train services work better for passengers.
It also wants to respond to how many people need to travel.
The total number of daily local train services will not increase or decrease.
There will still be 1,414 services.
Six services will have new or revised arrangements, including two Up and four Down trains.
Two announced services will run between BYR, Virar and Borivali at specified times.
Western Railway will implement a revised Mumbai local train timetable from September 1, 2026.
The timetable aims to optimise suburban services, improve passenger experience and meet travel demand.
The overall number of local train services will remain unchanged at 1,414.
Six new services will be added: two Up services and four Down services.
A BYR–Virar local will depart BYR at 7:46 a.m., while a Borivali–BYR service will depart at 10:14 p.m.
