Two Teenagers Killed After Tempo Hits Scooter In Ghatkopar
Two teenagers were riding a scooter in Mumbai early Sunday morning.
A tempo allegedly hit their scooter from behind near a metro station.
Ganesh, who was riding the scooter, died soon after the crash.
Aryan, who was riding behind him, was seriously injured and died on Monday.
Police say the tempo was being driven quickly and carelessly.
The driver was arrested after police used CCTV footage and the tempo’s registration number.
The scooter had reportedly been taken without Ganesh’s father knowing.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
A 15-year-old boy, Aryan Paswan, died Monday after a fatal road accident in Ghatkopar.
Fourteen-year-old Ganesh Sunil Mahamuni died shortly after the collision early Sunday morning.
Police allege an Eicher tempo struck the teenagers’ scooter from behind near Jagruti Nagar Metro Station.
The tempo driver, 34-year-old Prem Prakash Baldevram, was arrested using CCTV footage and the vehicle’s registration number.
Police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act provisions, with further investigation underway.
