Indore Water Supply Disrupted Across 20 Areas August 25-26
Indore’s water department needs to stop a large water pipe for 24 hours.
The shutdown is planned for Tuesday, August 25.
Workers will replace a broken valve and repair leaks in several places.
They will also connect pipes and install new valves.
Water supplied directly through the large pipe may be interrupted on Tuesday.
Areas supplied by 20 overhead tanks may have less or no regular water on Wednesday, August 26.
The affected neighborhoods are spread across several parts of the city.
Tankers will be sent to help provide water.
Residents have been asked to save enough water before the work begins.
The Indore Municipal Corporation will shut a 1,200 mm water pipeline for 24 hours on Tuesday, August 25.
Repair and interconnection work will be carried out at Mhow Naka, Bilawali gorge, and Rajendra Nagar Bridge.
Direct water supply will be affected on August 25, while overhead-tank areas face disruption on August 26.
Twenty overhead tanks serving areas including Annapurna, Banganga, Sadar Bazaar, and MOG Lines will be affected.
The civic body said tanker supplies will be arranged and urged residents to store water in advance.
