Modi Arrives in Kyrgyzstan for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to Kyrgyzstan for an important international meeting.
The meeting is called the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
It will take place on August 31 and September 1.
Leaders from the organisation’s 10 member countries are expected to attend.
Modi may meet Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kyrgyz officials welcomed him at the airport.
A traditional Kyrgyz dance was performed for him.
Modi said he wants countries to work together against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
