Later, the line is planned to extend toward Cadbury Junction and Gandhi Nagar in Kanjurmarg.

Eventually, it is intended to connect with Wadala.

Tickets will cost between ₹10 and ₹40 depending on distance.

Smart-card users and regular commuters may receive discounts.

Officials say the metro could make journeys faster and reduce road traffic and pollution.
