Modi Schoolmate Seeks CBI Probe in Mira Road Land Dispute

Asgarali Vohra is an 81-year-old man from Mira Road.

He says he bought a piece of land in Bhayander East in 1989.

The land covers about 2,810 square metres.

Vohra says that in 2011, other parties took control of the property.

He also alleges that some property documents were forged.

A police case was registered in 2015, and the dispute is still before a court.

Vohra met his former schoolmate, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on September 8.

He asked Modi to help and to arrange a CBI investigation.

Local officials have scheduled a hearing for September 16.
