Madhya Pradesh CM suspends seven govt officials for alleged negligence
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, a big state in India, visited a place called Barwani to talk to people.
He found out that some government workers were not doing their jobs properly.
Some people were waiting too long for help and money from government programs.
So he said seven of those workers must be suspended, which means they cannot do their jobs for now.
He also ordered a check on one more official.
The government has programs that help farmers and people who need homes, and these workers were in charge of those programs.
The Chief Minister also promised to build new steps next to the Narmada River because the old ones are under water.
He will spend Rs 25 crore, which is a lot of money, on this.
He also promised money for a new market and to take care of an old fort.
He said everyone who deserves help should get it on time.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ordered the suspension of seven government officials, including District Panchayat CEO Saurabh Singh Rathore, for alleged negligence in public welfare works in Barwani district.
The suspensions were linked to the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Sambal Yojana and other government programmes.
A show-cause notice was also issued to S K Sinha, Joint Director of the Urban Administration Department, on the chief minister's order.
Yadav announced Rs 25 crore for constructing new ghats on the Narmada River, whose old ghats are submerged under the backwaters of the Sardar Sarovar Dam.
He also announced Rs 10 crore for an Adarsh Krishi Upaj Mandi and said historical sites, including the fort in Sendhwa, will be preserved through the Archaeological Department.
The orders came during his interaction with the public at a district-level resolution programme under the Mukhyamantri Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan in Barwani.
