BJP Plans Month-Long Seva Sankalp Campaign for Modi Milestone
The Bharatiya Janata Party plans a month-long programme called Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
It is meant to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public office.
The programme is linked to his birthday on September 17 and to the anniversary of his becoming Gujarat’s chief minister.
People may take part in clean-up drives, tree planting, blood donations and health camps.
Another programme will help eligible people apply for government benefits they missed because of paperwork or other problems.
Young people will be invited to suggest solutions to local problems and share videos about helpful activities.
Anganwadi workers will also be honoured for helping children and families.
