Suvendu Orders Fresh Probe Into Slain RG Kar Doctor's Cremation

Two years ago, a woman doctor at a big hospital in Kolkata was hurt very badly and sadly died in a terrible crime.

After her body was examined, she was cremated very quickly at a place called Panihati.

Some people think that fast cremation was a big mistake, because important papers were not signed and the body was cremated even though others had to go first.

A very special team of investigators called the CBI has been looking into the whole sad story.

Now, the leader of the state, Suvendu Adhikari, has told the police to start a new case against three people.

He says these three people helped make the very fast cremation happen.

One of them used to be a local politician, and the other two were his helpers.

Doctors and nurses across the state remembered the doctor by staying quiet for two whole minutes at their hospitals.

Her parents were at a special event to remember her, and her mother said she wants her daughter to be remembered as a good doctor.
