Fresh FIR Over Hurried Cremation of RG Kar Victim

Fresh FIR Over Hurried Cremation of RG Kar Victim
Fresh FIR lodged over cremation of RG Kar doctor on Suvendu’s order · thestatesman.com

A lady doctor in Kolkata was hurt very badly and died, and police said she was attacked and killed at her hospital.

Something sad happened after that: her body was cremated, which is a special ceremony where a body is respectfully burned.

Her family said it happened too fast and without their permission.

Now, two years later, the Chief Minister of West Bengal asked the police to look into it again.

Her father went to the police and gave a complaint.

The police made a new case, called an FIR, about how the cremation happened.

Three people are being looked at in this new case.

Police want to know why no family member signed the papers and why no money was charged for the cremation.

They also want to check if evidence was destroyed on purpose.

The police are working separately from the CBI, a national detective agency that is also investigating.
