Anantapur Districts Approve Roads and Bridges for Viksit Bharat
Officials are building many new roads and bridges in two districts.
They say the work supports the goal of making India more developed by 2047.
In Anantapur district, 29 roads will cover nearly 192 kilometres.
In Sri Sathya Sai district, 58 roads will cover nearly 235 kilometres.
More roads will be built in both districts through another government scheme.
Two bridges will be built through the PIU, and three more will use NABARD funds.
The projects together involve several crores of rupees.
Officials aim to finish all the road work by next March.
Approvals were granted for 29 SASKI road projects covering 191.81 km in Anantapur district at a cost of Rs 78.93 crore.
Sri Sathya Sai district will receive 58 SASKI road projects spanning 234.92 km, costing Rs 114.06 crore.
Under PMGSY-4, 11 roads covering 28.78 km will be built in Anantapur for Rs 27.01 crore.
Five PMGSY-4 road projects covering 11.2 km will be constructed in Sri Sathya Sai district for Rs 10.41 crore.
Five bridges will also be built, with completion of all road works targeted by next March.
