Delhi government promotes 111 officials to improve service delivery

The Delhi government has promoted 111 officials and assigned them new jobs.

The officials work in a government group called the subordinate services cadre.

Many will help manage schools as deputy directors in the Education Department.

Some will work in hospitals and health services.

Others will serve in revenue, trade and taxes, law, vigilance and the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

The government says these changes should help services work more smoothly.

It also says the promotions give employees better career opportunities.

The process followed directions from the Delhi High Court and cadre restructuring.
