Nine Women and Child Development Officers Promoted as Assistant Directors
In Indore, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, some government workers who help women and children got promoted to bigger jobs.
Nine of these project officers were promoted to become assistant directors.
The state government decided to promote 80 officers across Madhya Pradesh.
This is the first time so many project officers were promoted together in their department.
The newly promoted officers visited the minister in charge, Nirmala Bhuria, in Bhopal.
They thanked her and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav for making the long-awaited promotions happen.

She asked them to make sure government help reaches women, children and teenage girls who need it.
