Maharashtra Approves ₹1,722 Crore Bandra Fort Connector To Ease Congestion
A new road is planned near Bandra Fort in Mumbai.

The road is expected to help cars leaving the Versova-Bandra Sea Link.
Many nearby roads are narrow and traffic can make short trips take 20 to 30 minutes.
The new connector will provide another route toward Pali Hill, Bandra Fort and Taj Lands End.
The project will cost about ₹1,722 crore.

The project is intended to reduce congestion on the roughly 2.6-kilometre route from the sea link toll plaza to Pali Hill.
The proposal was submitted on August 19, 2024, and formally approved through a government resolution dated July 28, 2026.
