SNDT Women’s University to Host National Vande Mataram Programme
SNDT Women’s University is planning a special programme about Vande Mataram.
It will happen on August 31 in Mumbai.
The programme will mark 150 years of the national song.
People will learn about its history and connection with India’s freedom struggle.
They will also discuss what the song means today.
The event will include an audio-visual presentation.
Two discussion sessions will take place in the afternoon.
The programme will end with certificates for participants.
SNDT Women’s University will hold the ‘Vande Mataram 150: History, Thought and Education’ programme on August 31.
The one-day event will take place at Patkar Hall on the university’s Churchgate campus in Mumbai.
The programme will examine Vande Mataram’s history, freedom-struggle contribution, nationalist thought and contemporary relevance.
An audio-visual presentation and two discussion sessions on the song are scheduled during the programme.
Ashish Shelar will attend as chief guest, while Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will preside over the event.
