SKM Warns of Intensified Nationwide Stir from November 26
In India, a big group of farmers and workers came together to protest.
The group is called the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, or SKM.
They took part in a protest called 'Jail Bharo', which means filling the jails — protesters let themselves be arrested to show how serious they are.
The protest happened on the 84th anniversary of the Quit India Movement.
The farmers and workers have a list of things they want the government to do.
They want fair minimum prices for crops, more work days and higher wages under a program called MGNREGA, and money for families of farmers who died by suicide.
They gave their list of demands to the President of India.

The group warned that if the government does not listen, they will hold an even bigger protest starting November 26.

Farmers, agricultural and industrial workers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, students, youth and women joined the 'Jail Bharo Andolan' organised with central trade unions on the 84th anniversary of the Quit India Movement.
A charter of demands was submitted to the President of India, seeking a legal MSP guarantee at C2 plus 50 per cent, repeal of the four Labour Codes and the VB-GRAMG Act, and restoration of MGNREGA with 200 days of guaranteed work at a Rs 700 daily wage.
CPI(M) general secretary M A Baby hailed the mobilisation as a 'historic success' and a 'powerful message' against the Modi government's 'anti-worker and anti-peasant policies'.
The SKM claimed protesters broke barricades, confronted security personnel and staged sit-ins before being arrested, and warned that struggles will continue until all demands are met.
