Lokesh urges unity, vows to restore glory of government schools
On a special day called Independence Day, a government leader named Nara Lokesh went to a big celebration in Vijayawada, a city in India.
He raised the national flag and watched a parade with soldiers and school children.
He remembered freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who helped India become free.
He told everyone to work together, no matter what caste, religion or region they come from.
He said the government wants to make public schools really good again, and this year many children moved from private schools to public schools.
He talked about creating jobs, filling teacher posts and giving people government help.
He wants Andhra Pradesh to become a very wealthy state by 2047.
He thanked the Prime Minister and said the state should learn from a country called Singapore.
At the end, he gave awards to workers who did a great job, and everyone felt proud.
Nara Lokesh hoisted the national flag and reviewed the parade at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Vijayawada.
He said about 1.10 lakh students shifted from private to government schools this year as the state works to restore government schools' glory.
Lokesh said 16,000 teacher posts were filled through Mega DSC, with recruitment for 6,000 constable posts and a job calendar of 10,000 posts.
He said Andhra Pradesh aims to become a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047, developing Amaravati, Visakhapatnam and Kurnool as major growth centres.
He called on people to rise above caste, religious and regional differences to realise the vision of Swarnandhra.
