India needs $10 trillion GDP to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047
India has a big dream: to become a developed country, called 'Viksit Bharat,' by the year 2047.
A new report says India's economy must grow to at least $10 trillion to make that dream come true.
Right now, India's economy is about $4.5 trillion - the fourth biggest in the world, but still not enough for nearly 1.5 billion people.
The report says India should trade more with other countries and invite more foreign businesses to invest.
But growing the economy alone is not enough - the benefits must also reach poor people.
Young people should be encouraged to become entrepreneurs who create jobs.
Students also need new skills, like learning about artificial intelligence, or AI.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised AI training for one crore, which is 10 million, young people in the next year.
Making healthcare cheaper and better is another important step.
If everyone works together as a team, India can reach its goal by 2047.
A report by former diplomat Mohan Kumar in The Jerusalem Post says India's GDP must reach at least $10 trillion to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047.
India is currently the world's fourth-largest economy with a GDP of about $4.5 trillion for a population approaching 1.5 billion.
The report calls for raising India's share of global trade, attracting more FDI, and deep structural economic reforms.
Growth alone is not enough - benefits must also reach people at the bottom of the economic pyramid.

“"While India can be legitimately proud of being the fourth‑largest economy in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the world, the fact remains that for a population approaching 1.5 billion, the present GDP of $4.5 trillion is a little below par."”
