Nandivli Lake Gets Deep-Cleaning After Month-Long Waste Removal Drive

Nandivli Lake in Kalyan East was cleaned during a month-long campaign.

Workers and volunteers removed garbage from the lake and its banks.

They collected coconuts, religious offerings and nirmalya.

Nirmalya means materials left after religious ceremonies.

Civic workers, local groups and a company worked together on the project.

Sumit Alcoplast used its vehicles to carry the waste away.

The organisers say the lake now looks cleaner.

They asked people not to throw waste into the water.

They also said everyone must help keep the lake clean.
