Uttar Pradesh Urban Toilet Construction Surpasses Nine Lakh Under Mission

Uttar Pradesh is building more toilets in its cities.

The work is part of the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban.

The state says it has now built 9,00,113 household toilets.

This is much higher than the 3,09,924 built by 2017-18.

Public places have also received more than 10,000 community and public toilets and urinal blocks.

These facilities provide more than 70,000 toilet seats.

Since 2024-25, another 2,623 public toilet seats and 1,104 urinal seats have been added.

The government says its goal is to give eligible families safe, clean, and dignified sanitation.
