Mayor Kolagani Srinivas said the city would take steps to remove it.

The city plans to use Rs 17 crore from the Swachh Bharat Mission and ₹8 crore from the Karimnagar Smart City programme.

It also plans to buy machines and vehicles to improve cleaning work.

Residents had raised concerns about stray dogs and monkeys.

The mayor said stray dogs were being sterilised to control their numbers.

The Animal Birth Control centre may be expanded with more kennels and other facilities.

The municipal corporation also approved 180 items for city-related work.
