India Supplies Europe as Russian and US Diesel Flows Falter
Europe needs a lot of diesel fuel.
Russia used to send much more diesel to Europe, but its exports have fallen sharply.
The United States also sent less diesel later in August.
India supplied about 60% of the diesel traveling through the Bab-el-Mandeb route toward Europe.
India can export fuel because its refineries can make more fuel than the country uses.
However, India is receiving less crude oil, which could make future exports harder.
