India Supplies Petrol to Russia as Refinery Attacks Disrupt Fuel
Russia normally makes much of the fuel it uses, but attacks on its refineries disrupted production.
The reports attribute the attacks to Ukrainian drones.
Vortexa said Russian gasoline production fell by as much as 70%.
Russia therefore imported a record amount of gasoline in August.
Indian refiners supplied nearly 1 million barrels during the previous two months.
Much of this fuel reportedly came from the Vadinar refinery in Gujarat, which is partly owned by Rosneft.
Turkey and Morocco also supplied gasoline to Russia.
Some shipments used sanctioned vessels and hidden ship-to-ship transfers in the Mediterranean, while Russia restricted fuel exports and its diesel exports remained far below normal.

Russia’s gasoline imports reached a record 125,000 barrels per day, or about 470,000 tonnes, in August.
