The arrests happened in three operations in Shopian and Pulwama.

In one operation, officers searched an orchard and found a grenade, magazines, phones and posters.

Three people were arrested there.

Three more people were arrested in Shopian after two hand grenades and other material were reportedly found.

In Pulwama, two people were detained in the Yarwan forest area.

Officers said they found a pistol, 12 bullets and a hand grenade with them.

Police are investigating the suspects' activities and possible connections.
