Security forces carried out several searches in two parts of South Kashmir.

Two men were arrested in a forest area of Pulwama after officials received information about possible terrorist activity.

A pistol, 12 bullets and a hand grenade were reportedly found.

In Shopian, six more people were arrested in two separate operations.

Three of them were stopped while traveling on a motorcycle in Heerpora.

Officials said two hand grenades and posters were found with that group.

The other three were arrested during joint patrolling in the Imamsahib area.

Police are investigating the cases and the suspected associates’ connections.
