Andhra Pradesh Launches New Minority Education Hub
Andhra Pradesh opened a new school called the Centre for Educational Development of Minorities, or CEDM, in a town called Vaddeswaram.
The school gives free classes online and in person so that kids from far‑away places can learn.
The state’s Minority Welfare Minister, N.M.D. Farooq, said the school will help more minority students get good jobs.
He also said that even though minorities are a small part of the state’s population, they already do well in teacher exams.
The government will work with private companies to give students smart classrooms and money help.
Andhra Pradesh inaugurated a new Centre for Educational Development of Minorities (CEDM) in Vaddeswaram near Mangalagiri.
The centre offers free online and offline coaching classes for minority students, especially from remote areas.
Minority Welfare Minister N.M.D. Farooq said the initiative follows Education Minister Nara Lokesh’s guidance and aims to improve minority representation in government jobs.
Farooq highlighted that minorities make up 7.5‑8% of the state’s population but 11.5% of recent DSC teacher recruits, with 48% of those recruits being women.
The government plans to use public‑private partnerships to provide smart classrooms, advanced training, and financial assistance for minority students.
