The Andhra Pradesh government has opened a special Centre of Excellence for tribal students.

It is located at the Marikavalasa Boys’ Tribal Welfare Gurukul School in Visakhapatnam.

The centre will help students prepare for difficult exams such as IIT-JEE and NEET.

Six hundred students were chosen based on merit.

Half of them are boys and half are girls.

Teachers from Physics Wallah are providing intensive coaching.

Boys and girls have separate classrooms and dormitories.

Extra wardens, CCTV cameras and security arrangements are being added.

The government hopes the students will achieve top ranks and enter leading national institutions.
