Vijayawada 2K Run Marks 11th National Ayurveda Day
A 2K running event took place in Vijayawada on Sunday.
It was held to celebrate National Ayurveda Day.
The event also encouraged people to stay fit and healthy.
Sri Gayatri Ayurvedic Multi-Speciality Centre and Rotary Vijayawada Midtown organised it.
K Vijayanand started the run at 7 a.m.
Families, fitness enthusiasts and people of different ages joined.
Organisers said walking, running and exercise should be part of everyday life.
They also encouraged healthy food, regular routines and preventing illness before it happens.
A 2K Run was held on BRTS Road in Vijayawada on Sunday to mark the 11th National Ayurveda Day.
Sri Gayatri Ayurvedic Multi-Speciality Centre and Rotary Vijayawada Midtown jointly organised the event.
K Vijayanand, Special Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, flagged off the run at 7 a.m.
Participants included people from different age groups, Rotary members, families and fitness enthusiasts.
Organisers promoted exercise, wellness and preventive healthcare under the messages “Run for Health - Run for Wellness” and “Healthier Minds | Stronger Bodies | A Brighter Tomorrow”.
