Andhra Pradesh Temple Devotees Increase to 40%, Minister Says
Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said more people have recently been visiting temples in Andhra Pradesh.
He said temple attendance increased from 35% to 40%.
The minister linked this change to better facilities, cleanliness and security.
He made the remarks at Kanipakam.
He offered silk robes to Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy.
The state plans to provide more money to many temples.
It also plans new temples in rural and backward areas.
More food offerings, charity meals and religious festivals are being organized.
The state is also preparing for the Godavari and Krishna Pushkarams.

The state is allocating funds to temples, expanding Nitya Naivedyam and Annadaana programmes, and planning new temples in rural and backward areas.
Arrangements are being made for the upcoming Godavari and Krishna Pushkarams, Reddy said.
